A YouTube-like platform that doesn't invade user privacy, track or sell user data, bombard users with too many ads, or block users with a VPN or ad-blocker.
About This Project
Stellicast is a YouTube alternative platform that aims to become a better version of YouTube, getting rid of everything people dislike about YouTube and providing a privacy-focused experience. It's built with Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, and Bunny.net video storage/streaming. It's currently in early development and is not yet ready for public use, however the goal is to be ready for a beta launch by the end of 2026 or 2027. With a astronomically low budget, Stellicast currently plans to focus on earning enough money to upkeep project infrastructure and hosting costs, but I would like to earn some excess revenue to help motivate development and increase the budget. Most of the money donated to my Buy Me A Coffee campaign will be used to pay for Stellicast.
